Blog Issues!
sorry it has taken so long to get the Lizard directions out. I started it in June and got frustrated with the Blog! I tried again today and I am not understanding why my Post's are not publishing in the right order! I am still sort of new at this! The steps are labeled and I will again attempt to put them in the right order! Sorry for the inconvenience!

(Step 1) How to Make a Slinky Lizard!

Make sure students have decorated both sides of the 12 X 18 paper. My students used Gel crayons and glitter crayons. We talked about line-pattern and symmetry. Fold paper in half "hot-dog" style.

Open 12 x18 paper and fold edges to the crease. You should have four sections after this fold.

(step 2)
Fold edges to the middle crease creating a triangle. Do not throw away extra pieces!

Open triangle and cut slits on FOLDED side going a little past the crease. Make sure you do not cut slits all the way to bottom..leave enough room for a tail.

(Step 3)

Fold flaps together creating a slinky body! Staple at head opening and in between cut slits.

Use extra pieces to make a top and bottom of the Lizard head.

(Step 4)

Cut extra black paper for hands and feet. Have students decorate both sides of their feet so it can be viewed from all sides.

Enjoy Creating your Lizards!
